"Several students with severe depression were helped because of the Buddy Box. We were able to notify thier parents and they got their children into counseling. I receive the most referrals about bullying, and because of the information given from the Buddy Box and our no tolerance policy at school, we were able to reduce the incidences of bullying from 5-6 times a week to 3-4 times a month. We at White Pine have become adept at eliminating the jokes or frivolous comments which are fairly common."

-Mike Jones, Counselor

"The Buddy Box has given a voice to all students.  It has opened up the communication between students who might not otherwise say anything about a variety of issues happening in a school.  It has been such a positive addition to our school."

-Lynn A. Principal, Cache Valley

"I have developed an anonymous way for students to get help for their friends without telling an adult or getting directly involved. A custom created "Buddy Box" with a lid and slit in the top is to be placed in the media center or commons areas. Students can write anonymous notes to the school principal or a counselor telling about the problem their friend is dealing with. So far, over 350.000 students have access to the Buddy Box in their school. Through the Buddy Box students have received help with problems that may not have been recognized otherwise."
